For a while I heard she was coming, and for a while it was a rumour.. buy Mary Lou Came and I knew it was too good to be true. She played at one of my fave bars in Halifax, she was too sick to play more than 4 songs and we got refunded our cheap ass $10 tickets. She dedicated a song to elliot smith and it gave me goose bumps. This girl can sing like no one else. She was rushing out the doors with her sick eyes and stomache flu and I thanked her for coming and she said she loved this city... I told her I'll see her again in Boston and she apoligized again for being sick.. She told me to have some drinks with the $10 we got back. Even though I didnt get to see a full set, it was worth it at the end. |

The day has come! A dream come true.. I have a new puppy. Dogs are one of my ultimate joys in my life. It has been so hard being away from my Malcolmn that I needed one to have every day. I have been talking about it for a while and luckily in out flat the other two people including landlord are dog lovers with dogs so its totally cool we have her. We have a little fenced in yard that will be perfect for her to play in this Spring. I am in love again.. Shes such a good puppy that curls with you like shes known you her whole life, like she cant stop thanking you.
She is about 8 weeks old and shes a pure Boston Terrier little girl. She has a pink rhinestone kitty collar and a simpsons carrying bag for her toys. She snores, snorts and has some funky smells but I love her like my own baby. I am sure you will see so much more of little peppy anne. |

Halloween night was a night to remember. Seeing this beautiful rocker shake the stage with her bass, curly red locks and not quite so passive attitude. Melissa is going to be so big. I have always admired her since grade 7 when I first bought 'Live Through This'. There was just something about this canadian girl that made you want more. I always felt so bad for her, like Courtney wouldnt let her have any fame... now Courtney doesn't know what fame is but Melissa will know more than ever.
I still remember one of the first times I heard melissa's name on tv. It was in 96 when Drew was promoting Mad Love and they played Violet as she came out, and she said that Mel, Melissa Auf Der Maur from Hole was backstage.
After the show I went to her bus and there was me, Colin and some other fans. She came out smiling but almost looking too greatful. She was the most kind hearted, beautiful person. She was extremely friendly and acted like she was everyones best friend. She seen Colin's bouncing souls anchor heart necklace and wouldnt stop talking about it. He really couldnt part with it but we let her know where to get one.
It was truly a moment to remember and I wont forget it. If you havent heard Missy's new CD it so powerful and good so get a copy.
